Bernbuam Family Endowed Scholarship
The Bernbaum Family Endowed Scholarship was set up in 2019 to support academically meritorious undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in the field of actuarial sciences. Students in their 7th quarter or more are selected based on academic merit and/or financial need by the ACMS Program Director. Selection typically occurs in October each year.
Abraham Goo Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2024, the Abraham Goo Endowed Scholarship supports undergraduate students in Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences (ACMS) based on academic merit. Eligibility begins in the 7th quarter of study, with recipients typically selected each October by the ACMS Program Director.
Each spring, the Program Director also recognizes academically meritorious graduating seniors for outstanding achievement in their ACMS degree option.
In addition, two annual awards are available:
• Academic Research Award
• Travel Award (up to $500 for presenting at a professional conference)
Students are eligible beginning in their 7th quarter and must apply by the deadline below. Application materials should be submitted as instructed.
Academic Research/Travel Awards – Applications due October 15
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:
- (Self) nomination letter (500-750 words) describing your research area of interest and/or conference poster/presentation plans (including conference name, location and if your poster/presentation has already been accepted)
- Curriculum Vitae/Resume
- One letter of recommendation from research advisor (From your research advisor. You will enter their contact information, and they will submit the letter separately. Be sure to notify your advisor of the deadline in advance.)
